Once upon a time, there was a young woman named Lily. Lily was 16 years old and loved to hang out with her friends. But Lily also wanted to be healthy and feel good every day. One day, she decided to eat better food, no matter what!

Lily knew eating healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains would make her stronger and happier. So, she made a plan. She said, “I will eat a colorful plate every day!” She put bright red strawberries, crunchy carrots, green spinach, and yellow bananas on her plate. She told herself, “I can do this!”

At first, it was hard. Her friends were eating chips and candy, but Lily remembered her goal. She brought her healthy snacks like nuts and apple slices. She even asked her mom to help make yummy salads and smoothies. Lily felt proud because she was making smart choices.

One afternoon, Lily’s friends asked her to go to the ice cream shop. Usually, she would order a big sundae. But this time, she chose a small cup with fresh fruit. Her friends cheered her on and said, “Wow, Lily! You’re good at making healthy choices!”

Lily smiled and said, “I want to be strong and energetic. Eating good food helps me do all the fun things I love, like biking and playing soccer. And still, I can order a big sundae now and then." She felt happy knowing she was taking control of her health.

From that day on, Lily kept making healthy choices. She learned that being decisive and sticking to her goals made her feel powerful and proud. Lily was not just eating good food — she was becoming the best version of herself, one healthy bite at a time - and sometimes a big ice cream! Wow! Try it yourself!
